A colourful, well-illustrated textbook of obstetrics and gynaecology that combines clear writing and excellent presentation with the latest advances in the management of normal and abnormal pregnancy and gynaecological disorders and their treatment. A hallmark of the book is its sympathetic approach to the needs of the woman, which is nevertheless combined with an equally strong dedication to including the latest important scientific advances in the field.
Reviews
Put simply, this is a good book - Buy It. This book is clear, colourful, concise and pretty much tells you what you would want to know to have a fairly good idea of what obstetrics and gynaecology is all about. It has helpful graphs, step by step diagrams, colourful pictures, photographs, radiological images etc. All good stuff. Medical Student, MAD Magazine, the official journal of Barts and The London Students' Association

Disorganised and too basic

This book doesn't have all the information you will ultimately desire and I find the content in some (many) chapters poorly arranged. A couple of chapters that you could have a look at to see for yourself include: - chapter 13 Antepartum haemorrhage: no mention of vasa praevia. no general overview of treatment of APH - chapter 33 Infections of the genital tract: gonorrhoea and chlamydia not listed under section 'pathological vaginal discharges'; investigations for gonorrhoea and chlamydia not outlined To its credit, the book is a fairly easy read, but it is just not a great source of information.
